Join The Great Trossachs Forest Partnership and Plantlife Scotland for a free workshop led by Dr Oliver Moore, Plantlife Scotland’s Lichen and Bryophyte Specialist.

This is a unique opportunity to learn about what makes Scotland’s rainforest so special. The workshop will cover:

  • How to identify rainforest indicator lichen and moss species

  • Insights into their ecology and conservation needs

  • Ways you can get involved in protecting Scotland’s rainforest

Following the workshop, there will also be opportunities to volunteer in future moss and lichen monitoring projects.

What to bring:

  • Packed lunch and drink

  • Sturdy footwear with good ankle support

  • Weather-appropriate clothing (this is Scotland’s rainforest after all!)

Important: Distances will be short, but the ground may be uneven. Parking charges may apply. Please do not bring dogs to this workshop.
